Top Ten Christmas films

Hi everyone,

Do you know what I love most about December ? a part from Christmas of course, Christmas films. I love the fact that you can turn on the TV and see a Christmas movie at any time of the day (not  going to lie, after christmas it gets on my nerves ...).
After hours of mental struggle  attempting to classify my favorite "Christmas movies", I succeded and here are my Top Ten:

1. Love Actually: I love this film so much, it's just a film that makes you feel happy. My favorite characters in this movie are played by Liam Neeson and  Thomas Brodie-sangster AKA Daniel and Sammuel. The father/son thing is adorable but not as cute as an eleven year old ready to "Go get the shit kicked out of us by love".

2. The nightmare before Christmas: I think you all know by now that I am obsessed with Tim Burton's work and this movie is probably one of the first Tim Burton films I ever watched. Watching Mr. Jack discover Christmas and try so hard to create a perfect Christmas, all that with a touch of Tim Burton fantasy and humor makes this a christmas classic.

3.The Grinch: Jim Carrey is amazing in this, I love the whole story and a sarcastic "hero" is always a winning situation for me. The fact that the movie is a concentrated ensemble of christmasy cliché is enough to get in to the top of the list !

4. The Rise of the Guardians: I have nothing more to say than: Badass christmas film

5.The polar express: I adore this film, although the scene with the puppets freak me out, this film is a must have for me during the festive month of December. Plus one of the kids is a spitting imag of Dewey in Malcom, what more do you need ?

6. The holiday: On the same lines as Love actually, just a heart warming christmas/love story film. Also Jack Black is great.

7. Anastasia: I know this isn't a "Christmas" tale but I always want to watch it at some point. I would say that it sort of fits in "Once upon a December" counts, right ?

8. The Nut cracker: love the story, love the film.

9. A  Christmas Carol: The story of Scrooge, this film is freaky I don't know if it is because of the animation but man it creeps me out. Still a good Christmas film but I don't feel the need to watch it every year

10. Ok, I couldn't find a tenth film, if you can think of one I haven't mentioned, I would love to know !

Thanks for reading , see you next week for the final Blogmas
