Christmas Market

Hello everyone,
Are you aware of the trend that is Vlogmas? Well, I thought I would try to do something similar: Blogmas, A weekly Christmassy blog post up until Christmas.

This week’s post is about the Christmas market. This year I went with one of my friends, who despite having lived in Aix for years had never been to the Christmas market, insane I know. We decided to go in the evening as it is a nicer atmosphere with all the decorations up, a fairy light heaven :

The market is split into two main areas: the international market and the chalets on the boulevard. I was over the moon to see a British section as soon as we went to the international part, and even more so when I spotted the mince pies (something I haven't had in years). Obviously I had to get one and make my friend try one, it was really "cliché" with the English flag packaging but that was what made it so cool. Sadly there is no evidence as I ate it before thinking of taking a photo.

After having browsed around the international part, which is mainly food (Yay) We headed to the little Chalets. These stands have all sorts of little trinkets and more food.

On the whole what I love so much about this market is that you can find original things for Christmas presents and eat loads of Christmas treats that you don't get all year round.
However we only stayed a couple of hours as it started to rain.

Thank you for reading, and I will see you next week with another Christmas special =)
